• Account information: full name, email, phone number, password (hashed, never stored in plain text).
• Academic information: institution, faculty, department, level, and departmental option.
• Payment information: transaction records and wallet balances. We do not store your card details — these are handled directly by Paystack.
• Usage data: exam attempts, AI Tutor requests, course access logs.
• Bank account details: for Instructors, Managers, and Prep QAs requesting withdrawals — verified via Paystack's account resolution service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize your access to courses, exams, and the AI Tutor.
• To process payments and payouts.
• To protect content from unauthorized distribution (including watermarking viewed pages with your account identifier).
• To send you service-related communications.

3. Watermarking & Content Tracing

Pages you view are watermarked with your account identifier as a content-protection measure, used solely to trace unauthorized distribution.

4. Data Sharing

We share data with Paystack (payments, bank verification) and Google Gemini (AI Tutor explanations — only the specific question/text requested, not personal account details). We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, and as required by Nigerian law for financial record-keeping.

6. Your Rights (NDPR)

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to request a copy of your data, request correction, request deletion (subject to legal retention obligations), and object to certain uses. Contact support@nkubs.com, Lagos, Nigeria.

7. Data Security

We use encrypted password storage, rate-limiting on authentication endpoints, and role-based access controls.

8. Children's Privacy

Nkubs' pre-tertiary exam-prep services may be used by students under 18. If you are under 18, we recommend using Nkubs with the awareness and involvement of a parent or guardian, particularly regarding account creation and payment activity.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be communicated to you.
